Filming Ryann and Cole’s wedding at Snowmass Club taught me something about mountain weddings: the environment demands respect. The weather shifts fast, the altitude changes how you move, and the light at 8,000 feet behaves differently than anywhere at sea level. I arrived early, scouted every possible ceremony location for light quality, and built contingency plans that let us capture stunning footage regardless of conditions.

Aspen’s beauty changes with the seasons. Summer brings wildflower meadows and endless golden-hour light. Fall covers the mountainsides in shimmering gold. Winter transforms everything into a quiet, crystalline wonderland. Each season offers a completely different film aesthetic, and I approach each one with the same intention — to let the natural beauty speak while keeping the focus on the two of you.

The direct flights from Dallas to Aspen make the logistics straightforward. I arrive the day before to walk the venue and study the mountain light, and on the wedding day, I bring equipment prepared for altitude, weather changes, and the kind of dramatic landscapes that deserve to be captured in their full scale.
