Ryann and Cole traded the Texas heat for the Colorado mountains, and the result was one of our favorite films we've ever made. Aspens turning gold, crisp mountain air, and a ceremony framed by the Elk Mountains — this is what a destination wedding in the Rockies should feel like.
There's something about filming in Aspen that changes the way you approach a wedding. The scale of the mountains, the way the light moves through the valleys, the silence between the peaks — it forces you to slow down and really see what's in front of you. That's exactly the energy Ryann and Cole brought to their day.
The ceremony at Snowmass Club was outdoors, overlooking a sweeping mountain vista with the Elk Mountains standing watch in the background. The aspens were in full fall color — golds, ambers, deep reds — and the light was that perfect late-afternoon warmth that you can't replicate. When Ryann walked down the aisle, the entire room went still. Cole's reaction is one of those moments that lives in the film forever.
What made this wedding extraordinary wasn't just the setting — it was the people. Ryann and Cole have this grounded, easy love that makes everyone around them feel at home. Their reception was intimate and joyful — heartfelt toasts from best friends, a first dance under string lights with mountains in the background, and a party that went late into the Colorado night.
We filmed getting-ready moments in a private mountain lodge, the ceremony against the Elk Range, cocktail hour as the sun dropped behind the peaks, and a reception that had every guest on the dance floor.
