The Hill Country surrounding Austin provides some of the most stunning natural backdrops in the state. Rolling limestone hills, ancient live oaks draped in moss, and those long golden-hour sunsets that stretch across open sky. Venues like Prospect House and Camp Lucy are built to take advantage of this landscape, and on film, the result is something that feels more like a scene from a movie than a wedding video.

I make the drive from Dallas to Austin regularly — it’s just under three hours, and I always arrive the evening before to scout the venue and plan my shots. By the time your wedding day arrives, I already know where the best light will be, which corners of the venue tell the richest stories, and how to move through your timeline without ever being in the way.
